The Thrive Programme is an evidence-based psychological training programme aimed at dealing with issues from phobias and anxiety to weight loss and smoking.  Every aspect of the programme has been designed to be relevant, easy to understand and empowering.  Through the sessions and structured study, you will gain the insights and awareness to start taking control of your thinking, happiness and health.  I will be there to guide you towards overcoming your symptoms and learning to thrive.   Over the course of 6 – 8 sessions you will build a resilience and sense of power and control that you never knew you had.  You will be ready to face the future with confidence and a smile on your face!

Why is The Thrive Programme different to other Therapies?

Unlike many other therapies The Thrive Programme does not focus on your symptoms.  We will be addressing the core issues that cause your symptoms and so many other problems that people need help with.  This is one of the main reasons why The Thrive Programme is so successful.  In addition, the course focuses on your present and your future.  You will learn why the past is not as important as you think.

Is this just another ‘faddy’ self-help thing?

Definitely not!  This programme is based on scientific evidence and research and 30,000 hours of face-to-face client experience from the programme’s creator Rob Kelly.  It is tried and tested and has helped thousands of people with different issues to change their lives, just because they made the commitment to complete the programme.   This is not ‘wishy washy’ nonsense.  This is the real deal.

Why is it training?

This is not psychotherapy, hypnotherapy or hypnoanalysis.  I will not be doing any therapy ‘to you’, hypnosis will not be used.  You will gain new insights, skills and resources, and will also practice unique techniques to change the way you think.  I will be there to guide you through and support you as you learn.  Additional ‘homework’ continues outside of the sessions.  All of this is based on being responsible for yourself, which is an essential part of the programme.

Why do I have to do stuff outside of the sessions?

The best way to explain this is by remembering a sport or hobby that you wished to learn.  Let’s take the example of learning to play tennis.

After your very first lesson you may have had a fair understanding of what it’s all about and realised that with some practice, dedication and more lessons from your coach, you would improve.  You would have to gradually train your mind and body to take on board new information and then build on that.  As time went by your reactions, your knowledge of the game, your shots and your movement around the court would all get better.  After a good few weeks, you would have been confident in your abilities to play on your own without having lessons.   Adaptation in this scenario is inevitable.

Now imagine you didn’t practise.  Imagine you only turned up for your 1 lesson a week.  However good the lessons were, if you had not been practising in-between sessions the skills and techniques you had been taught, your progress would be very slow.

This is the same for your mind.  Your brain can physically change, this is a scientific fact.  It is not a fixed entity.  Your mind can be re-programmed and re-wired with the right insight, techniques, and effort.  You are not stuck with your symptoms, problems or issues, you can change them.  I will teach you how to do this.

Will it be hard…will there be a lot of work to do?

No, but you will have to put effort in!  You are likely to find The Thrive Programme fun, inspiring and ultimately life changing!  It is an active progression and is based around a work book which I will supply at the start.  I will be there to bring alive the programme for you as we progress through the sessions.  Improvement, and ultimately success, is predictable if you do what is required of you.  The work is goal-orientated and you will become more powerful as you move through the weeks.

I do not want to waste any more time stuck with my symptoms, issues, anxiety and stress.  I want to make a commitment to change my life and be the person I want to be…
